Dr Rachael Neall graduated in 1999 from Reading University and went on to complete an M.Sc. in Health Psychology at University College London. She later continued her studies gaining a Clinical Psychology Doctorate at Southampton University.

Rachael is a qualified Fitness Instructor and has completed 200hour Yoga Teacher Training with Laura Green Yoga. She has additional training in integrating Yoga and Psychology.

Wanting the most effective interventions for the individuals she works with has led to a focus of attending to both mind and body when addressing mental health and well-being and if appropriate incorporating Yoga practices within Psychological Therapy. She also offers regular Yoga classes at Chalk Stream Medical.

Rachael is most interested in helping people to understand and break unhelpful patterns and build self-care into their lives. She has have worked with many people trying to function whilst coping with the debilitating physical symptoms, trauma or current stresses in their lives. Rachael has a strong desire to help people overcome their difficulties and offers therapy in a warm, safe and non-judgemental space using individualised evidence-based approaches.

Rachael spends time getting to know and understand each individual she works with but also feels that well-designed groups can really help with healing. The humour, shared experiences, encouragement and skills coaching helps to validate and energise. She therefore also offers small groups and workshops blending a mind and body approach to help with a range of difficulties. These groups can also be combined with one-one sessions and are being offered at Chalk Stream Medical.

Outside of her work as a Yoga teacher and Psychologist, Rachael enjoys playing tennis and getting outdoors. She also relishes the simple things like a cosy night in with her family and her cats.
